Squeeze is proud to partner with Oslo Maraton
Massage can be an important part of preparing for a race, both to reduce recovery time, stay injury-free, and dissolve aches. We are working with Oslo Marathon for the second year in a row, to give you the best conditions leading up to the race. As part of the cooperation, you will receive massages at a membership price at all of Squeeze's 28 clinics. Experience the benefits of regular massage until September 21.
Prioritize recovery to get the most out of your workout
Leading up to a race, the training load is often increased quickly, with many sessions on hard ground. One of the big differences between exercisers and active athletes is how good they are at recovering. In addition to sleep, hydration, food and rest, massage can play an important role. Both to recover faster, stay injury-free and be ready for the next session, but also by improving sleep quality and giving the head a break from hectic everyday life and the mobile.
Anja and Gro Hammerseng-Edin
Anja and Gro have used massage as mental relaxation, physical recovery, injury prevention and self-care in their careers as professional athletes, and now in a hectic everyday life. Gro even had massage as a contract requirement in the latter part of her career. They want to inspire more women to run, such as Grete Waitz did in her time, by even running 10 for Grete during the BMW Oslo Marathon. From retired handball player to 10k runner requires training and that preparation starts now, with more training and more massage.
BML Running Podcast x Squeeze
Daniel Kvammen and Andreas Grøgaard in the podcast Breaking Marathon Limits, contacted Squeeze to loosen up Daniel Kvammen's stiff hip after increased training loads with many sessions on asphalt. The pains were loosened up, with a bonus in increased sleep quality and mental break. Since the first massage, Daniel has regularly received treatment at Squeeze as part of his recharge for the marathon.
